张娜拉小学时候起就在爸爸的舞台剧中粉墨登场客串。高中时接拍了大量广告。2000年成为中央大学戏剧系的新生。　　2001年，张娜拉首次等台。2002，她和金在元主演的《明朗少女成功记》在韩国获得巨大成功。但是真正让她走红的是《淘气少女求爱记》。当不少中国男孩还在回味《我的野蛮女友》中全智贤的粉拳时，韩国的“野蛮玉女派”已悄悄地换了新掌门。　　《淘气少女求爱记》也打着结结实实的“野蛮系列产品”标记——有一个“野蛮”绝顶的女主角。野蛮、粗鲁、不讲仪态，张娜拉身怀“绝招”，在《淘气女友求爱记》里，她的跆拳道功夫让男主角朴正哲每次都下场悲惨。不过奇就奇在，这样野蛮的女孩却是人见人爱。从《红豆女之恋》里的恶女，到《明朗女友成功记》中的开朗女，再到今天的淘气女，张娜拉已顺利完成了她的“成名三部曲”。多才多艺的张娜拉已经成为韩国最闪亮的新星，除了身兼LIVE MBC“MUSIC CAMP”的节目主持人，还担任SBS电视剧《开朗少女成功记》的女主角，并以这部片子在台湾打开知名度，且出道的首张专辑便让她获得许多奖项。
