故事梗概:

    刘青云、吴镇宇担纲主演的这部黑社会动作片，背景为治安混乱、警匪勾结、警察贪污严重的香港旧时代，生动地反映出当时黑势力猖獗、道德沉沦的社会风貌。刘和吴原来是一对沙煲兄弟，自小一同在九龙城寨长大。然而在那个混乱的时代，二人分别成为路数不同的黑老大和警长。两人为生存不择手段，刘甚至为讨好吴而出卖自己的爱人朱茵。
